Newsworthiness

Story focus statement: A harlem shake video got a varsity hockey team suspended

1- Timing: The timing is when the varsity team is about to play in the section tournament

2- Oddity/Uniqueness: It is strange because now the JV hockey team is going to have to play in the varsity teams place just because of a video

3- Significance: The Mound Westonka hockey team is going to be very affected and how their fans look at them

4- Proximity: It happened in Minnesota and hockey is really big in Minnesota

5- Human interest: I think depending on the person it could really be interesting. A lot of people in Minnesota heard about this and were curious and especially teams this team will be competing against after it happened.
